Cool recovery equipment storage

Mounted an ammo can on my roof rack for my straps, shackles, etc. so I don't have to throw the muddy stuff back in my Jeep. Drilled about 10 holes in the bottom so I can rinse it out without removing it. Need to get another one for the other side!

That is a really cool idea. I have two of those in the garage that I have been wondering what to use them for. I just need to come up with a mounting system now.

There is one of my roof rack brackets right below the box that the bolts came up high enough so I just drilled 2 holes in the box for the bolts and added nuts. You can do anything with enough imagination. I came up with this after getting tired of throwing muddy straps in the back of the Jeep. This way they're easy to get to and no mess!

Man, I've got six of those cans. I wonder what I could do with 'em. Wait, what do I do with all the ammo ? Seriously, that's a pretty good idea.

That was my original intent, but they are rather big for caches.
