NEW OWNER **PICS & Q's!**

Hey guys

My names steven. Im posting on my gf's behalf since I enjoy cars probaly more then her and want to learn about her new vehicle as much as she does lol

So my gf traded in her 08 Altima in for a 2006 Commander with a 4.7 V8, and leather. She got that baige color with baige interior. What are the actual names of those colors?

I drove the car a few times and i def love being up high and it has a nice sound and a little up and god. I come from a backfround of racing 4cyl turbo cars so thats my thing but the SUV thing is really growing on me!

I realized theres a Hemi version for this car. Thats kewl. The car handles pretty good for a high up SUV and rides nice. Like i said its good a little up and go. I am trying to talk my gf into doing an exhaust or atleast a res and or muffler delete and just replace with piping. I showed her some vids and she says "it sounds like a tractor". I think the 4.7s sound amazing with diff exhaust setups! So far she wants to do this grille http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2F2006-UP-Jeep-Commander-Chrome-Grille%2Fdp%2FB0035HD2L4&tag=5336116685-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=9325/ (which i approve cause the chrome looks great on the biege exterior she has and also it reminds me of a range rover with this grille),she also wants to get nice wheels. Shes going for the nice blingy ride so Im assuming 22's is the common size wheel? What type of wheels do these use? I mean my GTI is 5x112. A

Do they make precut tints for the tail lights? I went on laminx.com and they just had the tint for the headlights i beleive and fogs.

Any suggestions? If the car was mine, id slam it on coils (if thats what they use, i know i am on coils on my mkv gti) and get some nice chrome 22s) and do that grille. Here are some photoshops ive done!

Also any lowered, "slammed" commander pics much appreciated as well as advice and tips! We are very excited with our purchase so let me know!

Oh and also is there a hand held tuner for this car? I also had a 07 mustang GT and i got a SCT Xcal 2 tuner and the car was muchhhhh faster and torquier after that and a cold air intake.

Here are some pics of her new car and some photoshops i did!

The resonator delete with stock muffler set up along with all the bolt ons on my 4.7 L. really is a nice way to go. Stealthy, at idle sounds the same, drop the loud peddle to the floor and it opens up and roars like a frickin' beast with a killer sound...you should talk her into letting you gearhead it dude....you'll be happy ya did. Welcome to the XK club! Any questions just ask....there is a ton of dudes here with lots of knowledge willin' to share.

Thanks slot! That's what u was gunna do, res
Delete. That's a popular mid on my mkv GTI. The Ted delete and muffler suitcase delete.

Maybe she won't recognize it's louder with a res delete since she doesn't drive like I do! She defiantly wants that grille i posted. She also wants to lift it a little but like I said I'm more into a lower suv hence te stock srt8 stance but NO WHEEL GAP! that won't happen tho cause she's not into that low aggressive look!

So, So far gunnanorser that grille off amazon unless I find it cheaper on eBay. Also do some really dark tint all around and possibly
The tail lights but if we do chrome wheels which we will because I believe it looks great with the beige, we wont tint the lights. Is there tunes for our car that will give more whp & torque?

Btw I'm gunna put up some pics of how I want it
To look tnite once comcast decides to stop acting so slow!

Those wheels are called "Hulk" wheels. If you could post pics of your Commander in better light and different angles I might be able to tell you the correct color name. From the pics you have up now it is hard to tell. Some colors look very similar under different lighting conditions. Also, you can get the paint code off of the sticker on the driver's door.
