Creede, Colo. / Bachelor Loop

Went over to Creede,Colorado today for a Fathers Day Lunch and then went up around the Bachelor Loop road. An easy road 18 miles but the scenery is amazing. Where they built some of the buildings from the mining days is crazy. The road winds up high above the town you can see the Rio Grande River Valley South of town in the last picture. The Headwaters of the Rio Grande River is about 30 miles SW from here. Ah! another good trip to do in the Commander, via Stoney Pass across Pole Creek up to Kite Lake the actual headwaters of it. There may be a lot of snow there now.
This would be a good run for during the Summit!!!!!

The new Lone Ranger with Johnny Dep as Tonto. The News channel in Denver did an interview with Dep and they showed some of the sets. Don't know about the after dark. Still have to go see it.
