Got Mud! (NON-XK)

I just stumbled across this picture of the ranger that my friend took this past summer. I had just gone through a huge mud hole and was coming out the other end of it. That same hole sucked in my friends tacoma a few minutes prior as well as some other dudes jeep cherokee. Dammmm i miss my ranger!

It took me the next three days to clean all of the mud that had leaked into the cab!

The light weight of the ranger would make the difference in the mud. We have rangers at work and they don't get used hard. Quite frankly they are falling apart after 3 years and 10k miles.

I took my XK onto a muddy trail today, nearly slid into a tree, man I hate those stock tires! I am not ready to lift, as my dealer has already told me he would not warranty any parts that could be effected by the lift, and I paid way too much on the lifetime warranty to chance it. Goodyear SA's, REVO's, or ATKO's that is the question? I have had ATKO's and loved them, not sure if I want to go to the 245/75's, not into rubbing.

Well, not sure you want to ruffle any feathers but you might want to tell the dealer to become familiar with Magnusson Moss unless he wants a fine from the FTC.

I tried to fight the fight, the serv mngr told me they could fight any warranty work on a mod'ed vehicle if it was diff than the factory specs. I know I would have to get dxc (the zone guy) involved in any warranty work I would bring in.

I lifted mine prior to purchasing the lifetime warranty so I would argue that they should have inspected my vehicle prior to issuing the warranty if they did not want to cover any repairs.

Wow, what *self-censored* idiots. I would take my business elsewhere just out of the pricipal that they outright admitted they are shady characters and will attempt to break the law if they can get away with it.

I have owned (4) Ford Rangers and didn't have any problems with them what so ever. Each and every one of them was even beat on pretty hard and taken off road many of times.

BTW the ranger is almost stock in that picture. Just some Super Swamper Irok's and a rear locker.

I had mine lifted at the dealership, so everything would be covered without a problem. Then I moved away, so it might be more difficult. With any luck, I'll never know.

If you have paperwork from the dealer stating that they installed it there then it doesnt matter if you go to another dealer.

Dammm my thread got hijacked!
