Reminds me of my dad's old 80's station wagon. My family named the car the "spud duster". Not sure how the name came up but it was white with the wood grain on the side.
isnt that pic in another country? Looking at the license plate....looks different than ours. but we have seen these ugly beasts in our forum before....still, no one likes them!
That's correct. The plates are from the Netherlands. I'm originally from there so that explains .......
This car is for sale by the way. This is a 2008 3.0 CRD with about 200 miles on it. The price wasn't mentioned but they're selling for about 70,000 Euro. With the current exchange rate it's about $90,000 !!!!!!!! About 50% of that are Taxes. Yeah, the Dutch government knows how to get budget.........
No no, I ordered the arctic blue sportster, not the pea green family truckster. CLark W Griswold. I used to date a girl that had an old cherokee with the wood laminate, It grows on you, and grows mold if you do not wash it. ha ha
I had a neighbor that was selling a Pinto station wagon that had scratches on the woodgrain panel. He hit it with some brown shoe polish and the scratches disappeared.
It's funny that this post has just come up as I saw one of these this weekend. It had dark paint (blue) with dark wood trim. It was more subtle than that lighter wood, but ugly none-the-less.
Well, I guess I disagree with most of you on the woody look. I like the looks of it but would rather have real wood than vinyl. But of course, neither would hold up to the elements and use very well. And I wouldn't pay $900-$1000 for the vinyl package just to have it scratch off over time. I just like the nostalgia look.
I wouldn't buy it for my Commander, but I wouldn't call it ugly. I have seen different versions of this kit. This one doesn't look too bad. But I did grow up in the '70's. -43:icon_biggrin:
