I took my Commander to Sand dunes many many times (more than 30 times) during the last year,, I always take the hard ways in the dunes and no big harm happened, only one time I managed to bend the front bumper a little and that was before the lift with Old Man Emu springs.
Now (after installing the Old Man Emu) the front bumper rarely touches the sand, and I can assure you I drive the hard way ,, but not stupid way.
In your case, you'd rather go for Getlost4x4 bumper instead. but taking all those parts off every time is not that practical.
