Some Commander pics from a trip to our friends property

Forgot I had these on my cell phone (excuse the quality)

Our friends are building a small bunkie (10' X 12') up north and we took the Commnader up to see them.

Here's one by the wood pile, they had to clear trees to make the driveway.

There was a pretty good work crew assembled ... that's Deiter, Don and Kyle left to right Don's Blazer in the back and Kyle's 4 wheeler in the foreground (Liz and I didn't get in any of the pics ths time)

In the back you to the right of the Commander you can see the sono-tubes we poured full of conrcrete .. and the walls ready to assemble on the left

The trail in is really rough but passable ... a 2WD pickup could make it in no problem as it is.. they plan to bring their motor home back in soon and park it there, but the trail needs to be improved a little widened first.

After we went to this little town close by where there was this little bar and we had a pile of awesome Wings and a few beers.

The bar is accesible by a ATV trail (old rail line) at the back and has dedicated ATV and snowmobile parking

That should make a nice getaway. What are their plans for the inside of the bunkie? Any heat inside?

At our cabin up north in Michigan, we have a little place we call the Guest Shed. It is probably about the same size as your friends are building. It used to be a pump house/tool shed but has been converted to a bedroom. It is the favorite place to stay in the summer.

You know how it is with Townships and Building Permits etc .. the bunkie is small eough it need no permit, the plan is to get the motor home up there too and they have a composting outhouse to go up next.

Eventualy they are planning to build a full sized cottage, but I think that's a couple years in the futre
