06 4.7L mod questions

I'm looking to replace maybe header back system on exhaust due to manifold leaking...maybe, and also upgrading air intake but anyways what would be a good system and ideas?

Also Im looking for mpg gains as well as some decent sound and performance with these systems

We could give you several different opinions. The best thing for you to do is to read thru the many threads on this Forum on such subjects as Intakes, Exhaust Systems, etc.

You should type in a Keyword like Cold air intake for example in the search box that will drop down if you click on the Search menu.

You will get many posts on that subject.

Nothing wrong with asking questions, but you will know better which specific questions to ask if you use the search function to get the overall picture.

Also, Welcome to the Forum.

I added the AEM CAI, BRP Cat-Back exhaust, Flash

06 Commander: 4.7L V8, AEM brute force CAI, MBRP Cat-Back Stainless Exhaust, Superchips Flash Pak, 2.25" lift w/ RR rear shocks, 31" Dune Grapplers on A/R rims, Custom Backdraft full side flames, chrome package & lighting (don't get fooled get the 4" lift).

I did everything except the lift and tires myself in 1-weekend. There are on a few ways to go with the "street legal" mods. If you really want to drive an animal, you need to go to a Specialty Jeep Center, or a legit speed shop. Jeeps are unique like exotic sports cars...you don't want Pep Boys doing the mods (unless the mechanic is a jeep enthusiast-you can tell by what they drive).

All of the performance mods were easy and did not require a bunch of special equipment.

The Cold Air Intake gives the engine a great gushing sound, and with the exhaust my Jeep sounds powerful ( I just need to get it to burn the tires off). The CAI, Cat-Back, and Flash Paq added noticable horse power, speed, and actually more efficent fuel usage (this might be the placebo effect...but I am happy).

I bought ALL of my parts from auotanything online. Decent prices, knowledgable reps, and great customer service.

It is a shame I spent so much money so far, because I am looking to go to a 4" lift, spacers, and more aggressive tires. Plus I am either going to get the engine stroked, or get a supercharger.

Best of Luck
