Warranty Issues!!!!!!!!!!!

Will adding modifications to my 08 Jeep Commander void the Warrenty, I have 3 year/36000 mile as well as the Lifetime Warranty on the Engine, Trans, and Drive Train

Yes and/or No, the dealer has to prove that said modification caused the issue/part failure. See Magnusson Moss Act.

While rubi is technically correct, if the dealer wants to void the warranty they effectively can. You can fight it and win, but the mod may or may not be worth a long legal fight.

My best advice is to speak to YOUR dealership shop and ask them how they treat mods. Be specific with your plans, they'll tell you whether they'll balk on the warranties or not.

Use the search feature... there are several discussions regarding warranty coverage and mods. You are protected by laws and the dealership has to prove that the cause of failure is directly related to the mod.

Of course you would be wise to take Red's advise and speak to your dealership.
