3.7 Mods

Hello all, this is my first post so forgive the stupid question. I did a search on 3.7 mods and did not find any posts listed. Has anyone done mods to a 3.7 and gained any speed? I'm curious to find out. I know thw car wasn't meant for racing but I would like a little bit of power when I smash the pedal. Also has any one installed subs in the lift gate? If so was it difficult and how does it sound. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think any one here has installed subs in the lift gate, as far as making your XK faster, well, you can just do the basics, install a Cat Back Gibson, or you can go custom), and a Cold Air Intake (K&N, AFE, AEM), if you go to the home page, click on forum, and then on performance, you can find lots of info there, how ever, I would not expect to get too much out of your 3.7 Oh, and if you start looking for a Cat Back and you see that the gibson says that it only works on the 2WD, don't worry, it fits, and it has been tested by them on 4WD as well....

Welcome to the forum. Cold Air Intake and exhaust will give you a little more power.

Welcome to the club, do your searchs on the type of mod instead of 3.7 and you will find more information. Most mods can be done on any engine and that's why we talk about the mod itself more than the engine it is installed on.

Welcome! I've got the Jet stage I chip and I can say it's quicker on take-off and passing but you do take about 1-1.5 mpg hit.

The 4x2 and the 4x4 will be the same fit wise and performance wise. We just recently fit tested the 4x4 model.

Awesome - thanks for the reply. I wonder how it sounds - I dont want it to be too loud; It is a V6 afterall... I would like the performance gains.
