Jeep History

Hi fellow Commander owners, I'll start this post with an apolgy - Im sorry if this is in the wrong section, moderator feel free to move it to somewhere more suitable if needed.

Im looking into the history of Jeep in genral - my grand dad worked on the imported WWii ones (and never had a good word for them... ) Ive owned a commander for a few years now and think its great - probably Im a genetic anomaly.

If anyone can point me in the direction of any information on the jeeps sent to England in the war i would be eternaly grateful. it isnt for any kind of 'profit' it is simply for education (mine).

I contacted Jeep UK - got no response.

Cheers guys.
