Introduction

Hi All,

just got a 06 Commander and wanted to say hello. Already know I few things I have to fix and will be looking for info (I know its in threads somewhere here). Everything Ive read sounds like everyone has had similar issues (door handles for instance). As I'm a newbie here and to Jeep, its my understanding a lot of this can be done yourself if you have the time and somewhat mechanically inclined? Jeep aftermarket parts seem abundant and Jeep is like a lego set? Or am I misinterpreting? Looking forward to asking questions that have already been answered a zillion times.

you mentioned door handles, if yours are broken there are threads for a cheap fix, under $10 per handle, if you are talking the interior handles. Let me know if you can't find it I will search my posts. Also welcome to the forum.

Creek,

I've got a list of things to fix. I noticed the handles aren't lining up so assuming they will go. Already saw how to fix, not sure of the best replacement brand, welcome suggestions. In the meantime I'm going thru my list and what the mechanic said needs to be done, vs what really needs to be done.
