Talking Hey guys, just another Commander nerd!

Just completing my welcome post! How is everyone on this fine evening? I suppose I should introduce myself.

I'm Cool(ster)Bro, trust me, the name will get less weird over time (it's a motorcycle brand). I have a passion for everything that sucks in air and fuel, and in turn ruins our planet! From motorcyles and dirt bikes to the best Jeep of them all. I possess a 2008 Jeep Commander Sport 4x4 with the POWERHOUSE 4.7 flex fuel v8, and the quadra Trac II system. I got it completely stock, good thing I suppose, with 177k miles. It is in superb condition however, not a single thing doesn't work. Except all but one speaker. Ya, my friends don't want rides. But I am slowly upgrading it to be the best it can be, starting with some basic engine and suspension mods, working up to the big stuff, probably a 6.1 swap lol a long time down the road.

Well, thanks for reading this long, boring, and very self absorbed paragraph. Hope we can see each other sometime on the forums! Well, at least I know I do! I'm always up for talkin.

And btw, does anyone know why I can't start a thread yet?

Until next time, let's keep it between the cliffs!

Thanks and peace!

Oh okay, thanks for clearing that up. I've been a lurker on here for a while, I've already got tons of ideas! Lol waiting for Christmas to roll around ?. I'm planning on either a Rocky Road Spacer Lift, or putting in some OME HD springs, and then definitely some Bilstein's 5100's in the rear. I'll probably go with Bilstein's 4600 struts in the front, because apparently the superlift relocation brackets and such are the only way to go above 2.5 inches safely, and the 5100 struts would lift me up a minimum of 0.75 inches, which would probably come out to be even more with the way ifs works. The 4600 shouldn't lift it more than the Spacers or springs will, correct? And then the 5100 shocks should compliment the lift in the rear. Also planning on some 1.5 inch SpiderTrax wheel spacers to fit some Goodyear Wrangler duratracs on, and also some simple power mods; such as a Superchips f5 tuner, k&n CAI, and possibly a magnaflow if I can cough up the dough. I just want this thing to be able to have some mild and intermediate trails. It just SO stinks that us XK guys don't have a good winch bumper at the moment! Hopefully I'll never need it. What kinda lift/combo you got going on yours, or what do you want, and how does it work? You have any sorta preference between OME vs Rocky Road? Supposedly OME is superior, but it's just so damn expensive ?. Sorry for the long reply lol, thanks ahead of time!

2008 4.7L Sport, blacked out.
Mods: Rough Country 2" lift, Bilstein 5100 rear shocks, rear sway bar delete

The Bilstein B6 4600 front shock absorber will not lift you in the front at all, it has the same characteristics as the OEM front shock.

Who said XK guys don't have a good winch bumper??

You can find my bumper info here; https://www.jeepcommander.com/forums/...pers-shop.html
