New Post from new member..

I thought I did this already, but apparently not. Anyway, new owner of an '08 Overland (5.7, QDII, etc). Looking forward to keeping it as long as I can stay away from temptations of other things... like Land Rovers....

Don't do it... Land Rovers are the biggest money pit on the road, IMHO.

My wife is convinced the we need a Land Rover, " YOU WOULD LOOK GOOD IN IT" mentioned this to a group of friends and the first reaction was "are you crazy" next was " do you know their record" Third "you pay for them 2 or 3 times". Just something for you to research.

My response would be "Nobody looks good in a Land Rover."

Never, ever, EVER, EVER cave on this. A Commander is essentially an American Discovery. I owned a 2003 Discovery II for 2 years. I spent almost double the amount repairing that vehicle than what I paid for it. Some time down the line I will get one as a project car because they look ****ing great and you feel like an absolute killer driving one, but hot damn if they aren't the most needy things I have ever driven in my entire life.

2007 Commander Limited, 4.7L, 140k
Black with two-tone black/beige interior, fully loaded

This, is exactly why I chose the XK.. especially the Overland model. It was as close as I saw, that one could get to a LR... without losing their house paying for it. Now, it IS a Chrysler product, and like many other American companies, I?m expecting issues. Heck, just last month the ac stopped working on the right side, and then stopped altogether. Yea, I know. Probably a leak AND a blend door. Just my f-ing luck. Well, good thing it?s winter. Has a few very random electrical issues: Once every couple of weeks, the RF window won?t move for a few seconds, then it works fine. Also, driving home one time, and all the dash lights came on by themselves, all dash controls went dead, but it drove home fine. Restarted it, nothing. All dash lights still on. Unplugged the battery, plugged back in.. everything right back to normal. ::shrugs::. So, it?s whatever. I will say that I despise the fuel efficiency, but when I need a vehicle like this in the worst times, I won?t care. So that?s an okay trade off for me. If I ever do trade it/sell it for an LR, it will either be a Disco, or a LWB Series III... and more likely, the latter.

And what is with the apostrophes being translated into question marks after I hit Send? I wonder if this is more iPhone issue related?
