New From SD

Hey all, just joined. I've had my XK for a few months now, but figured it was time

I hail from the frozen prairie that is Sioux Falls SD

My XK is a 2010 Hemi QTII with 108k on the ticker. Bought it to be the family truckster, regardless of where we are going and what we are pulling with us. Probably won't see a ton of off-road, mostly because there isn't anything worth a crap to wheel around me.

I plan on doing a 2" spacer lift (Yes, I know about the UCAs)
Other than that, she'll mostly stay stock, at least until it's paid off and we move somewhere more mountainous.

I'm a former body guy and painter, turned fabricator, turned manager of a semi trailer shop, so I know my way around most things, but will probably ask for help here and there.

In the past I've owned a smattering of different rigs

-2006 Mazda 6 (what a PITA that thing was to work on)
-1989 Audi 200 Avant 2.2 Turbo(Super sleeper wagon)
-1986 MJ
-2001 Toyota Tacoma, lifted
-1990 XJ
-1993 Nissan Pathfinder Lifted (that thing was a tank)
-1980 Datsun 720
-1986 Chevy S-10 The WORST vehicle I've ever owned, and that includes the XJ that shot a rod through the block a week after buying it

Would love to post pictures, but Photobucket and their recent policy changes have put an end to that. I'm not going to pay for something that's been free for the past 15 years I've been using it.

Perhaps you have a better image hosting site

I've never seen a Commander that color - very unique.

That's a pretty cool looking roof rack too.

F.Y.I. - when uploading photos, please don't upload or post anything larger than 1024 x 576 pixels because it bogs down the site and the image will take forever to load/open.

I went ahead and resized your pic for you already.

I tell you this because the other moderator here, jeep5253, will just delete it - he's pretty notorious for that.

Got it. I noticed the resizer tool after uploading.

It's actually just Plastidip. Didn't want black

I was referring to that color of blue.

I haven't seen that color blue on a Commander before.

The XK was the black pearl when I got it, but almost every vehicle I've owned has been black or white. I wanted a little color in my life for a change.

Will look better with some tinted headlights. We'll see what Santa brings me this year....
