4.7L Computer Option To Save Gas

Hello,

I was looking at pics of Commanders and came across this comment on one of their forums. It said "The 4.7 liter has a computer option which disengages 4WD when 40 mph is sustained to save in gas".
Has anyone heard of this? It would be cool if it is true.

I've never heard of that, and as far as I know it wouldn't be possible. I'm pretty sure there's no way to disengage the transfer case to shift into a 2WD mode.

To my knowledge, this does not exist.

We are in 4-HI all the time - unless you drop into 4-LOW.
