Finally got around to posting...

Hello from Dayton, Ohio! I have had the pleasure of owning my 2008 Commander Limited Hemi for about 2 years now. While in college, my F-150 was on its last leg so I was looking for a better and more off-road capable substitute. My first vehicle was a 1999 TJ and I also restored and own a 1976 Jeep Wagoneer, I looked to Jeep to solve my problem. The Commander is such a good looking truck with its old school body style that reminds me a lot of my Wagoneer. I never expected to keep the Jeep for as long as I have but me and the Jeep have been through a lot in the past couple years and I can't imagine ever getting rid of it now/finding a new vehicle that is even a 1/3 as cool as the Commander. I love my Jeep.

So now I am graduating from pharmacy school this May, and afterwards I will be moving to Aurora, Colorado with my fiance. The move and our love for the outdoors has given me a great idea. I've always admired various overlanding rigs I've seen at tradeshows and on the internet. Now it is my Jeeps turn. I plan on building the Jeep in the next few months and taking it on all of our adventures.

I have many plans and one of which is a Superlift once I get the funds. I hope to start a build thread in the coming months. I'll be searching the forum heavily, it has already been quite helpful!

Welcome! I’m relatively new here as well and happen to live right next to where your moving (I’m in Centennial CO). It’s a nice area and on the grow. I also have the exact same aspirations as you with my commander. Fingers crossed we get many many years and happiness out of our JEEPs.

Yeah that's literally 15 minutes away. Glad to know I will have someone nearby in the same struggle as me, we might be in touch soon haha! It'll be a little while before my Commander fund grows enough to finally pull the trigger on the superlift. I plan on driving mine literally into the ground, fixing it, and then doing it again

Man....I love the black, I'm jealous! When I was searching for mine I was really shootin for black or the forest green color. I ended up with silver and I can't complain. Got a great deal on some 2015 Rubi wheels and had to pop on em. I really dig the look.

Thanks Blue, she's gettin' there. New windshield planned for this weekend (cracked a week ago on the way home from work) as well as new exhaust next week. I want some rumble out the back but not too much noise in the cabin. The videos on Youtube don't really give you a good idea of that.

Yep, no way to tell how loud it is in the cabin until you get one installed in you are sitting in it.

My AFE MACH Force-Xp 3" Stainless Steel Cat-Back Exhaust System (Part # 49-48052)
has nice balance, nice rumble outside, but, doesn't intrude into the cabin very much.
