Hi, New member here. I have had my 06 Commander since I bought it off lease in 08. It's been a very solid, reliable vehicle. A few issues have brought me to read at this forum for help over the years. Leaking sunroof drain tubes a few years back, and most recently stalling issues. No stalling on highway or anything like that fortunately. Just stalling while idling cold, but annoying still. Anyway, once again this forum was a big help. I read everything on stalling and was able to completely resolve my issue with a few simple things (in order that I had the work done): new plugs (black tipped!), new pcv valve, fuel ignition system cleaning, transmission fluid drain and fill (& 2 new filters). I think it was my trans fluid/filters that fully fixed the stalling. (Jeepy stalled less after new plugs & pcv etc, but the issues wasn't completely resolved till after trani fluid/filters.)
Anyway, I'd like to say a big thanks to all those who helped me solve these issues.
Since I've decided to hang on to this vehicle for a few more years, I'm planning for a suspension lift. I do a lot of ice fishing and sometimes in deep snow. Also, with over 190 k kms, I don't want to just do a body lift. (Local jeep shop was suggesting the 2" terra flex budget lift). With help from this forum, I am leaning toward the Bilstein 4600/5100 & OHM HD springs & Spidertrax wheel spacers & JBL UCAs route. I don't know if my stock size BFG AT k02s will look silly though, and I'll probably have these for another 50-60 k kms.
There's a bit about my Jeepy. Thanks for reading, take care,
