New Jeep owner here in McMinnville OR

Glad to be a part of the community. I got a great deal on a low-mileage 2006 5.7 limited, just what I need to tow my 64 Plymouth Belvedere to the drags this summer.

Connect factory backup camera to aftermarket HU

Hey guys,

Installing a new Pioneer AVH-1300NEX DVD player into my newly acquired 2006 Limited with Factory Nav.

The factory camera harness is 3 pin. It appears I need to convert this to RCA in order to plug in to the Pioneer HU.

Anyone have any tips on the conversion?

First off - I'm merging this thread into your new member introduction - this forum is only for new member introductions; once you hit 5 posts you will be able to post in all of the other sub-forums.

Now to your question; I had a Pioneer AVH-X490BS CD/DVD RDS AV head unit with Sirius XM Receiver installed this past February and it is hooked up to my factory back-up camera.

Unfortunately, I did not do the work, so, I can't tell you the specifics but I do know they needed an adapter to hook-up the factory wiring harness for the back-up camera to the proper connector for the Pioneer head unit.

I would think if you do some searching online, you can probably find it. I'll take a look also and see what I can come up with.
