Commander nube ????

1st Commander, but 4th Jeep owned. In the past I've always had control over the 4WD, but now this AWD is all new frontier. I was doing a little searching trying to find out what the differences are in QT-I, QT-II and QT-III, if I got all that right????
I've got an '06 Commander with V6, always had the I6 in the past. I have 179+K, but the engine was replaced at 124K, which was the buying point for me. I've been driving a VW passat for the last 7 years and I'm thoroughly enjoying the Jeep ride again.

As a former board member of the Bluecoats, welcome.
The 4wd systems on the Commander are QT1, QT2 and QD2. If you do a search there are posts explaining all of them. Try this one for a start https://www.jeepcommander.com/forums...adra-trac.html

06 Commander Limited Hemi - QDII,
Past -89 Comanche, 98 Grand Cherokee (2WD), 2000 Cherokee, 05 Grand Cherokee Limited 4.7
Had to replace the brakes - they opened more gas stations in town

Some people refer to the QT-I 4WD system as an AWD system because it comes with the single speed NV140 transfer case which means you don't have the ability to shift down into 4 LOW like you would with the 2 speed NV245 transfer case that QT-II & QD-II come with;

However, in my opinion, the QT-I 4WD system is really a little more than that, as it also comes equipped with traction control & electronic stability control.
