Wink long time owner... finally connecting

I've been around but finally created an account to annoy you. Hope to make you all proud.

After 100,000 miles running a stock Commander (2nd owner at 50K), I finally got the chance to build it up... then life happened... then another chance... then life again. I work on it slowly, as funds are available.

Just to add some history...

years ago, I had a 1988 Dodge PowerRam with a 4" suspension lift and 2" body lift, and Mickeys for boulder crawlin'...

A few years later, I had a family Jeep, 2008 Grand Cherokee, that had a 2" spacer lift kit on it, then the ex-wife decided we need one of them fancy new SUVs ("..but it's not a van!")

Since getting the Commander, I've wanted to do something to it, but just never how high. I've come to this forum to help with tune up and maintenance, engine replacement nearly, but I'm on track to make it look half as nice as some of those here. I am still decided which lift to go with, but leaning towards the Rocky Road 2.5", so that no extensive suspension or drive train changes are needed.
