Good evening all,

My name is Robert.

I hope I have everything in the profile as I am supposed to. If not please let me know and I will fix it. =)

I am the brand new owner of a Blue 2006 Commander. 3.7V6 (Wanted a Hemi but the price was right...) I am a very happy owner of a 2018 JK Golden Eagle Eagle (Flying Chicken), which is one of the main reasons I started looking at the Commanders. I LOVE the third row seating and the options. Lots of neat features with these vehicles.

Looking to make it bulletproof and do some very basic mods. I don't really rock climb or "off road" per se but I do bounce around in the country a fair amount at the family property and cabin.

Already found a lot of good information on the site. So thanks for that already!

Thank you, good to be here. Blue is my favorite color so it was kind of a natural choice. LOL I'm a senior (in many ways...) at the University of Oklahoma though... so going to to have to mesh Crimson and Cream with that blue... LOL

Welcome to the forum! I just came on board this spring when I picked up my Commander. Took a couple months getting it running but I have about 1200 miles on it now and love it!

I'm an Air Force veteran, but have a son in the Navy and one in the Marines as well. Semper Fi

Thank you. I have military all in my family. I always say "Most times I do what I want, the rest of the time I just do what they tell me." lol

I am looking to "bulletproof" my Commander. Mainly want a small lift/leveling kit (Rough Country?). Probably Moog LCA and JBA UCA. Replace *all* of the bushings with the red "racing/off road" types. Bilstein shocks (4600 or 5100?) WAM front/rear bumpers with winch and swing out tire/gas carriers. Good roof rack. And to fix all the small dents and scratches so it doesn't rust here in the midwest. Engine mods like fording kits or ?? I dunno.

Other than those anyone have suggestions for making this puppy rock solid "zombie response vehicle" of the future? =)

Some extra protection for the sides. I think there's a few different rock sliders out there. I'd like to do bumpers also but I may just put the money towards an early 2000s TJ Unlimited. I like the 2" RC lift on mine. Haven't done shocks yet or any of the control arms.

I really like the jeepinbyal black side guards for the XK's. Simple clean lines and they look solid.

Those are the ones I like as well. Just need to save up awhile for them.

The WAM bumpers (and others) are what is giving me sticker shock. But... I am really loving my Commander... so I can see this getting expensive in a hurry. HA!
