Hello from Vegas.

Hello, my wife and I just got our first Jeep a couple of weeks ago. An 07 Commander that looks like it spent it's whole life taking kids to school. We have given it a proper introduction to its new life exploring the mountains and desert around us. First day out we put a 1" cut in the middle of one tire. It now has proper tires!

We tend to go on mild-ish trails and roads looking for wild life and scenery. My wife is learning to off road and we often bring her parents. Its pretty funny the looks we get on the trails when it's my tiny wife driving and her older mom in the passenger seat! They use to ride horses and this lets them go in the back country like they use to. Just a bit more comfortable.

Thank you.

I can't post any place else yet. This will have to do.

Any way, I just found out that JBA has discontinued the 4xGuard skid plates. I already plan to add the missing factory skids but was hoping for the belly and front guards as well. Any alternatives out there? I can weld and do basic metal fab so that is an option.

I am at stock height and will not be adding much, if any, lift for the foreseeable future. I did order some Rocky-road rock sliders. We have lots of sharp rocks out here and have already gotten some hits while off road.

Thank you.

The Steel Armadillo makes skid plates for the Commander. He has them for everything except the gas tank. There is a facebook page and a website. Check it out.

If you use some of the links I sent you earlier, I'm almost certain Chrysler/MOPAR makes all of the steel/metal skid plates for the Commander if that's what you're looking for.

Thank you. I ordered the 3 factory skid plates from Jparts. I also ordered some rocky road sliders. Once I get all that installed I will see what is left that needs protection.

This site has been great to research over the last few weeks. It just kind of threw me when I found out 4xGuard was no longer an option.

We are going out tonight for some fun. Wife got a new camera and I will try to get some good pics of us with the jeep.
