Moog Control Arms

Hi All
This is my 1st post to the Forum so hello to everyone here, I've purchased my son a 06 commander that will be given to him at Christmas for his 1st vehicle. I have already learned a ton of info from all the posts here so thank you. It has 170,000 miles on it but in like new condition, I know the previous owner and he took very good care of it. Im getting ready to install the R/C 2" lift along with Moog upper and lower control arms at the same time. My question is has anyone purchased Moog lower control arms off Ebay, I received mine the other day and they were in a brown box with each arm wrapped in plastic with a sticker that said Moog on it. They were not in the yellow and blue Moog packaging. Should I be concerned about these being knockoffs due to the packaging?

I would be concerned. A quick call to Moog support should be able to help you out. Any identifying marks on the parts would be helpful when you talk to Moog.

Best of luck to you..

@Jonitza; Welcome to the forum & yes, I absolutely would be concerned; You should contact E-Bay and inform them that the seller is selling/passing off knock-off Moog parts as authentic ones. I'd also read the reviews of that particular seller and see if anyone else has had similar problems like this. Also a quick call to Moog support, as DDD suggested is also a good idea.

Anyway, Post some pics of your Commander when you can; Here are some links if you want to order any parts for repairs or upgrades to your XK;

I was emailing with the company from ebay and they say due to the weight of the control arms they ship them how i received them but swear they are Moog parts. They are offering a refund if I'm not happy, they have a lot of good feedback from other customers and only 1 claiming knockoff parts. Going to call Moog and see what they have to say. Will post the outcome.

The fact that they are so willing to give you a refund makes me feel a little better about it; I'd still call Moog support as Dan suggested and see if they can give you some more insight into the parts themselves & their authenticity; Hopefully they can help you identify them as genuine.

Thank you @Big Blue , the parts are in the back of the commander at my office so it will be tomorrow before i can get the part numbers. It will be the first thing I do, its driving me crazy thinking about it. I hope they turn out to be true Moog parts but my confidence is pretty low right now. I will let you know what happens..Thx again for your time researching this.
