I will check the yellow wire on the starter and I will also have the alternator checked again with the light still on. How would either of these conditions cause the rough idle? I find it odd that both of these conditions occurred it exactly the same time but I really don't know how they are related.
Low voltage can cause all sorts of weird things in engines, especially with how complicated and computer based most engines are these days.
Blue is right about the corrosion. And that yellow wire seems to be the culprit for a few other completely unrelated issues that have popped up....ie: false Transmission Over Temp warnings
