My 08 Commander will not go over 25 mph . It also did not start a couple of times then it did. After sitting for a day, now it drives fine , but what will it do next. I thought it was the cat converter. Now it is showing misfire and circuit open on No.1 cylinder. It is ;the 3.7 v6. Where do I start. Thanks
An input/turbine speed sensor / turbine speed sensor / TSS is an electromagnetic device that the engine control unit (ECU) uses to monitor the transmission input shaft speed/RPM. If a DTC is present, it means that the signal coming from the transmission input speed sensor does not meet the computer’s programmed parameters.
Causes
Failed TSS sensor
Damaged turbine speed sensor wiring
Faulty connectors
Failed solenoid
Valve body issues
Dirty transmission fluid
As for the misfire on Cyl #1 I would pull the coil and move it to cyl #3 and see if the misfire follows it. Lets do that first.
Replaced plug and injector. Jeep running fine. Thanks for the replies
