Front Air Dam

Just out of curiosity, does anyone see a benefit to having the black air dam under the front bumper our XK's? I pulled mine off a month or so ago and I like the look a little better. You can see the tires a little better, see the front suspension a little better and it does make the truck look taller from the front just in having that 2" of extra space underneath. It doesn't appear to affect gas mileage (these things are square enough) and it doesn't look like it protects the bottom of the radiator from debris kicking up on the road. Any other reason that everyone seems to keep these on?

It is to stop some wind noise coming from the front and under the vehicle. You are supposed to remove it for offroad and deep snow because they usually just get ripped off.

I took mine off the first week I owned the Commander and never put it back on. It is in the garage if anyone wants it.
