What exactly do you get out of the modified lift? What all does it entail?

A modified OME is just that; you take the OME lift and modify it to get more height. This can be done a variety of ways, but typically involves stacking lift components on top of OME springs to get closer to 4" of lift.

You can read my thread here to get an idea of exactly how I did mine, though there are tons of different approaches.

It all depends on the height of the spacers; you can use a strut spacer up to around 7/8" before you reach the limits of the stock geometry. You can use a standard 3/8" spacer for a pretty safe amount of lift, or stack two of them and get longer strut mount studs. In the rear, you can use a spacer like the Rusty's spacer to match up with the front and trim it down to work.

There's really no set formula for modifying an OME lift. It's more a matter of experimenting until you get where you want to be. Just don't go over 23" hub to fender up front and you shouldn't have any major problems.
