Has anyone been able to modify the seat track so it will slide back another 1 to 2 inches? My wife hits her knees on the dash when she gets in. Ok before the funny comments. She is disabled and the extra space would be a big help. Thank you all.

Anything is possible if you are willing to spend the time and effort figuring out how to go about modifying it;

That being said I've never heard of anybody doing anything with the front seat tracks, the only thing I can recall is one guy who raised the height of his front passenger seat by installing some small metal blocks underneath each of the seats 4 mounting points, as I remember it.

Maybe you can try to lengthen the existing seat tracks so that they extend back further, that might be easier; just spit-balling here.

There are 4 bolts holding the seat, someone like a blacksmith could make extensions or a plate that bolt on the existing anchor points and extend backward the number of inches you need and have threaded holes to match the seat bolt positions. The original mounting places I'm sure are in a reinforced area to firmly hold the seat in case of an accident, anything made to extend that will need to be strong also.You could remove the 4 bolts and move the seat around without removing all the wires and plugs that go to the seat. When working on the seat be sure to remove the negative lead on the battery as there are sensors on the seat assemblies that could trigger the air bags. I do not know if safety would be problem when making this kind of extension.
