Hello,
I just took delivery of a sweet 2006 Commander and was wondering:
I have never seen a oil dipstick like this one- is it supposed to be "twisty"
like a pig's tail? ( sorry - couldn't think of any other way to describe it).
Hemi 5.7 motor
I just want to make sure it wasn't vandalized or anything.
Thanks,
Cliff
Ok Thanks! I was concerned someone just twisted the heck out of it.
Took delivery of it yesterday, it's a almost fully loaded limited. From what I gather, it's only missing the nav raadio and the dvd system- still reading the manual though.
It has the Quadra trac II system.
I was concerned of making this purchase with everyone seemingly "going green", but am happy thus far!
When I get some time, I will post pics. However, it is not all that fancy, just all original.

I was taken aback by the twisty oil dipstick as well during my first fill-up. I don't care for it much if you ask me. But more importantly, welcome to the forum...there is a ton of knowledge here. Enjoy.
Because of it's length it is stronger and less likely to kink as a "twisty". Now, having said that, I will probably break mine.
