My wife would like a little more power out of our Jeep. I think I remember hearing that there is not much you can do besides, exhaust, intake, t-body spacer, without having the ecu flashed. Is this true, or am I listening to the wrong people.

It all depends on what your budget is really.

Define "a little more power"?

Cold Air Intake, cat-back exhaust system and a superchips performance tune should net you 35 - 40 HP.

well, that is what I asked her, she would like to have more get up and go, it is a little slow from a dead stop. but I think she is comparing it to my truck which is 750hp. I already have a nice intake on it, I have a dynomax exhaust. I do not have a chip, I do not know what kind of chip to even start to look at. Budget is decent.

The Superchips 3874 F5 Flashpaq is a tuner - not a chip.

You are essentially just re-programming your ECU and it can be easily modified or returned to the stock tune if need be.

You can read more about it here:

Thank you sir, Looks like another Christmas present for her!
No problem, I think you'll be happy with the results.

I was - and most of the Commander owners who own one, that I have talked to, seem pretty satisfied as well.

any other better exhaust or intake, I know K&N because of the name, i am currently running one, and dynomax exhaust which gives it a throaty sound which is fine, but I am not sure on the "performance" aspect
