Looking to order that 2.25 lift by rocky road! Would a 31x10.50 r17 fit without rubbing? If so would wheel spacers fix the problem? Is there anyhting else i am forgetting?

I'm pretty sure the stock 17" wheel only fits up to 9-9.5" max width...I could be wrong tho.

I'd go with 255/75/17's on that RR 2.25 lift...others have this setup and seem to like it, no rubbing.

I have Rusty's 2 inch lift and 255/75/17's (32 inch diameter). I needed 1.5 inch wheel spacers to clear the ball joint bolt. I got Sypdertrax wheel spacers. If you get another brand, make sure they are hub-centric. Wheel spacers are no place to go cheap.

I also needed to do some trimming in the wheel wells on the front axle. I trimmed the plastic wheel well liners and hammered down the pinch welds.

Different tire manufactures and models will vary slightly in actual diameter by 0.1 or 0.2 inches. Mine did rub until I did the trimming.

If you don't want to trim and hammer, you might consider a 31 or 31.5 inch tire instead of the 32's.

In order to run 255/75/17 you WILL need spacers and you WILL have to do some trimming. That is what I run!

255/70/17s will give you no rubbing with or without wheel spacers. That's a 31" tire.

I set TYMAC up with a wheel and tire package using 17x8.5 ET+25 (5.75" B/S) wrapped in 255/75-17 BFG KM2s and he had bairly any rubbing. The backspacing on your factory wheels is 6". You can certainly make them the 255/75-17s work with slight modifications. TYMAC is also running a 2.25" lift.
