hi, my mom has a 2008 jeep commander with the 5.7 in it. she had the chainsaw and gas can in back of it and it spilled...the entire gallon can!!
i had to take everything out of the cargo area and i took out the second row seats, cause gas seeped down in that area also.
i unscrewed the seat right behind the drivers seat and now when trying to put it back on the spring its on has to be pushed to make the seat align....i have no idea of how to get this to line back up....that spring is under so much pressure and i can't move it....should i just take to dealer and let them do it...
thanks in advance

Don't know if you still need this, but this is from the service manual. No mention of a spring. I can't attach the pictures, but it is literally just removing a couple bolts and that's it.

SEAT-SECOND ROW REMOVAL
Center Seat Section
1. Remove the bolts (1).
2. Remove the four center seat rear fasteners (1 and
2) and remove the center seat section.

Outboard Seat Sections
1. Remove the trim covers.
2. Remove the four bolts (3) and remove the outboard
seat assembly (4).

INSTALLATION

Center Seat Section

1. Install the four fasteners (1 and 2).
2. Install the center seat.
3. Tighten the fasteners to 50 N·m (37 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the bolts (1).

Outboard Seat Sections

1. Install the seat assembly (4) and install the four
bolts (3).
2. Tighten the bolts to 50 N·m (37 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the seat trim covers.
4. Install the center seat section, refer to Center Seat Section.
