Hi
I have 2006 commander with the original tires Forterra size 245/65/R17, and I am looking for new tires.

Someone is selling 2010 Jeep Cherokee all 4 tires and rims for a very sweet price. Tires are same size (245/65/R17, 2 are Forterra and 2 are Toyo A/T). I have two basic questions:

1- Can I put 2010 Grand Cherokee rims on 2006 Commander. There is confusing information about the difference in offset between Cherokee and Commander and how much effect it may have. Or is there really a difference in wheel offset between these two vehicles.

2- the second question is the tire pressure sensors. I asked the dealer and they said the 2010 Cherokee tire pressure sensor part# is 56029481AB whereas the 2006 commander has part#68078861AA. Dealer said exchange may not work as the frequency may be different. Can I easily take the commander wheel pressure sensor off and put them on cherokke rims.

so simply speking can i use the rims from 2010 Cherokee on 2006 commander and what are the possible hassels.

Your help (a.s.a.p) is highly appreciated as the deal is too sweet to miss and may not last for long.
thanks all in advance

I know the pressure sensors are not compatible.

You will need to move your TPS to the new wheels but they should fit just fine. I did the same from my 2006 factory rims to the 2010 JK Mountain rims. However, I did have to use spacers for them to fit due to clearance issues with the brake calipers. I wanted to space them out anyway so I didn't mind but something to think about. I'm not sure if you will have the same issues with the GC rims.
