I am very close to pulling the trigger on a 2" RC lift with 255/70/17 tires. I would like to have an organized thread for pictures of XK's running this setup. I'm not too comfortable hammering and bending and trimming, so I'd like to go w/a tire that has no rubbing from the get go, but I also want to make sure I'm happy with the look.

I know it's a favor, but can this thread be for pictures of XK's running the setup? Thanks in advance to those who help me out!!

I Did Some Checking..

Always do when time is getting close to buy new tires.. here is what I have determined.

The chart below indicates some variance in tire size and width:

31X10.50R15LT 30.8 10.5 (8.5) 7.0 - 9.0 (15'' Rim)
265/65R17 30.6 10.7 (8.0) 7.5 - 9.5
30X9.50R15LT 29.7 9.5 (7.5) 6.5 - 8.5 (15'' Rim)
245/70R17 30.5 9.8 (7.0) 6.5 - 8.0
255/70R17 31.1 10.2 (7.5) 6.5 - 8.5

Although I posted the 15'' rim size.. I just wanted you to focus on the actual tire size and width..

The (original) Goodyear Fortera HL is listed as:

245/65R17 29.5 9.8 (7.0) 7.5 - 9.5

So all I'm interested in a slightly larger and wider tire.. which would fall in the 255/70R17 or the (31.1 10.2) verity.

Just a comparison..

Aren't yours 255/75s. they are a bit taller then 255/70s aren't they?
Mine dont rub and I didn't do any hammering/trimming. No spacers.

255/75's are an inch taller then the 255/70's.

255/70's dont require wheel spacers or trimming.

Looks great Mate! I like the Size of those Tires, I still have stock tires on my RR 2.25 Lift with 1.5 Inch Spidertrax wheel spacers. Do you get any rub with those tires or did you do any trimming? Just looking for some ideas of what would be the best tire fit without rubbing for my lift because i want to go a little bit bigger.

255/70/17 is the biggest you could go without any rubbing. That's the size you see in the pic.
