Hi can anybody tell me what the clearance is from the top of the tire to the fender top inner plastic. When the suspension is on full compression? 07 Jeep I think you were going to check it out but I have lost the thread. It would be good to know before I buy the tires. Thanks:ugh2:

I forgot to bring my camera so I couldnt take a picture on Sunday. However I did flex out the front end and there is plenty of room between the tire and top inner plastic at full compression. No rubbing issues there.

07jeepxk,
Did you just stack the 1/4 inch space right on top lift?

Not a problem. If I can get a couple flexing pictures ill post them. Not sure if I will get to it today becuase im helping a freind install a 4 inch BDS lift on his 05 Jeep Grand Cherokee tonight.

I sure did. I got the spacers from robby and just set it right on top of my BDS spacers.

I think i am going to try that on my new set up. I had the Day Star 2 inch on my old commander. But it was only actually 1.5 inches lift in the rear and 2 in the front. I think i am going to get the Rocky Road 2.25, now that they have metal spacers in front and back....but apparently it is NOT a leveling lift, so i thought bout tossing another 1/4 inch on the front to help level it off.
Just didnt know if anything speciall had to be done for the extra spacer. I assume the bolt are long enough to handle an extra 1/4 inch.

I have been looking for a photo of your current setup on level ground. do you have any pics?
i dont see many photos from your rig. or i just cant find them.

Here is a little flex photo I found from September when I installed the new Bilstein shocks and struts. This should give you a good idea about how much room there is with the front wheel at full compression. Or pretty close to it. Remember the front IFS doesnt flex all that much compared to the rear.

Yes, the bolts on the BDS spacers were long enough for me to add the 1/4 leveling spacers.

Just went out and took some pictures. The ground is about as level as its going to get in the parking lot.

Thank you!
I think that really levels it off i bit more. And I can see that it helps keep it from rubbing in the front fender when compressed. I think i will add that extra spacer in.
Ofcourse Rocky Road is advertised at 2.25 inches....but i am guessing that its probably the same at the BDS 2 inch. I would think this would work the same at yours did.
I had searched your whole garage but this is what i was looking to see. Thanks for the photos.

Its been a while since I updated my garage. I dont have any rubbing when the front end is fully articulated. Just a slight rubbing on the flare in the rear when the quick disconnects are disconnected.

Thanks for the pictures 07JeepXK,it looks great. By the way could you give me a link or address where I could get the 1/4" spacers from. It is difficult to source things for the Jeep in Western Australia.
