I'm calling this an interior mod as I was trying to reduce the amount of sun in my kid's eyes. The youngest is now in a forward facing carseat and always seems to be getting the sun in her eyes.

I'm not a huge fan of window tint. I think it looks good and is functional, but draws attention to your vehicle and is difficult for law enforcement. I also think it makes driving at night, lane changes, etc. a little more difficult. But that is probably just my older age kicking in.

I installed 2.5% on the 2nd row door windows. I've attached an interior picture taken during the process to show the difference in factory tint (which usually seems dark) compared to the tint I installed. I only did the door roll up windows and small fixed window. I did not do the 3rd row windows.

From the outside, you really cannot tell a different if you are not looking for it (day and night). But when up close, you cannot not see in at all and it does a great job of blocking the sun. At night with the interior lights on you can see in just a little.

I'll try to get some exterior shots tomorrow or Monday. I'll also get some better interior pics without the reflections.

Didn't your commander come with all the rear windows tinted? Never seen one that was not.

yes.

from the inside view, it almost looks like the windows are not tinted compared to the new tint installed. From the outside, it looks normal, like the factory tint.

Here is an exterior shot. From a little distance, all of the rear windows look about the same. Up close, you cannot see in the 2nd row door windows at all. A big difference inside with amount of light that comes through. No more sun in the eyes for the little one.

Really looks good. It should keep the kiddos happy. The driver and front seat passenger windows are usually tinted slightly to conform to most state laws ( mostly for law enforcement ). Here on the Mexican Border we have Border Patrol Ck. Points on all of the major highways inbound. I have had several BP Officers ask me to open my rear window ( factory tint ) to see in. Of course I do; anything to help the BP stop drugs and illeagals.
