Possible sure.

What size tire you plan to run? 34-35? With the v6 it'll be pretty slow with poor mileage, gearing and a tune can help that a good bit however. v8's came with 3.73's and v6s had 3.05's or (rarely) 3.55s

Most people that DD their vehicles run an OME setup or BB and 32-33" tires.

I'm running a modified 4" Superlift with 33" tires on my daily driven 08 4.7 commander. I have 3.73 gears. I'm not completely happy about the gearing but it's not too terrible.

I say go for it. If I am remembering correctly your transmission has a lower ratio than the 545RFE in my Jeep so that should help. Also you could find complete axle housings off a Commander at a salvage yard with 3.73's and swap them in when you install the lift. It wouldn't be too much extra work since you are basically removing your stock housings anyway to install the lift. Then sell your axles to get some of your cash back and that should be cheaper than changing the ring/pinion in your stock axles. Just a thought anyway. Hope that helps
