I am a ham radio operator and have always drilled a hole in the roof of my vehicles to mount my VHF/UHF antennas. Does anyone know a good location as close to the middle of the roof as possible to drill the hole to mount the antenna. With the sun/moon windows in the back seat area and the wiring for the DVD player in the same area, I want to be sure to drill the hole where it will not cause a problem when running the coax to the front of the Commander through the headliner. The antenna doesn't have to be in the exact middle but should be as centered in the roof as possible. Also will running the coax down and on the side of the headliner interfere with the side air bags? Thanks.

you are not supposed to drill any holes in the roof or run wires in front of the airbags.

its in the owners manual.

i would just run your wires up the same route as the Sirius satellite antenna and go from there. there are existing holes in the roof you may be able to access.
