Hi,
I have a Jeep Commander Limited 2006.
Compared to another Jeep Commander Limited 2006, the air flow in my Commander is half weaker for all levels of air flow.
Can someone help me with that problem ?
Thanks.

Air Flow over the Vehicle?
Air Flow into the Engine?
Air Flow into the Windows?
Air Flow out of the HVAC system?

The mixture doors in the HVAC system are synced through plastic gears and cams, driven by an electric motor. The plastic gears and cams can get out of sync and the doors don't open properly, that can cause the air NOT to flow properly or as strong as it should.

Yes it's the HVAC system.
Even if the fan speed is set to high, air flow is weak.
But we hear the fan sound getting higher.

Do a search for the thread dhh3 was talking about, it has a more thorough explanation.

You're either going to have to get under the dash and figure out went wrong with the gears/cams and get them synced back up, OR, you going to have to take the vehicle to a mechanic to do it.

I could be wrong, do some more research, but my guess, that is the most likely cause. It doesn't cost anything to get under the dash and watch these things move and sync and see if you can spot the problem, if you're mechanically inclined enough to do that.

Hi dhh3,
And where is the post for that ?
Can you help me ?
Thanks.
Use the "search function". Type in HVAC. You will see this thread: Assistance determining what my Jeep is doing. Also, read any and all related threads. More than likely it is one of your mixing/blending valves. :eek:rangehat:
