I have a 2007 4.7L Flex 4x4. When coasting (not accelerating, just keeping an even speed) at either between 35-45mph or 60-70mph (could be other ranges too, these are the main ranges I stay in for extended periods), my Jeep will suddenly accelerate a bit(as if I step on the gas for a moment), or decelerate... creating a choppy ride.

This has been happening for the past 3 months and seems to be increasing in frequency and in intensity. Its as if the computer is having the trans upshift/downshift at weird times. Sometimes my car will be at 3000-3500 rpms while going 45mph (at a constant interval - not accelerating), which makes me think its not efficiently shifting. I get about 12.5mpg and I drive conservative.

Any thoughts or advice as to what could be the cause?
