Does anyone know how to take off the center row headrest? I tried today and broke some clips holding the back board on. There is a large metal plate under the board. I went to the dealership and they didnt know exactly how to take them off either. They kept giving me excuses and asking why I wanted to put a monitor there anyway.
Using a very small flathead screwdriver, insert it into the vertical gap in the trim ring at the base of one of the headrest mounting posts. This frees the headrest and you can slide it off. We had to figure it out in our commander to make a carseat fit right.
At the bottom of the posts, where they meet the seat-back, there are plastic rings that cover the locking mechanism. It's difficult to get to them. It's easier if you fold the seat down first.
