Well at least Tom knows where the trailhead for the Broken Arrow Trail is. I guess I will go along in case he needs anyone to go for repair parts. Someone really should warn the Pink Jeeps, (maybe they should take the day off). I am not sure if I can talk Lee into going, she still complains about that big sloppy kiss that she got from Phunkeydude.

Funny Bill !!!

Glad you are coming. Looking forward to finishing that trail with you. Tell Lee it will be safe to go. I was suffering from heat stroke that day and don't know what came over me. I was just very happy to get off the trail and be heading home. ;)

I think a non lifted XK would do fine but, I think I would at least want skid plates to protect the underside. Just google these trails and you will find all sorts of pics and info on it to help judge for yourself as to go or not. We would love to have you come out!

I've completed the, Broken Arrow, or "Broken Phunkeydude" trail 2-3 times now. No problem with a 2" inch lift. (I have no skid plate either)
I've also done most of the trail, with no lift.
I would not try the "devils staircase" without a lift. My opinion.
the rest is pretty easy. maybe have a spotter every now and then.
Definitely worth going on! It's a beautiful trail!

Soldier pass can be done without a lift, i've done that one a few times also. Once "stock" height, and once 2" lift. I scraped a little both times. nothing to worry about.
And as far as that video of "Soldiers Pass". Thats not an obstacle you have to navigate. It's an added bonus! I've never tried it...

Thanks that is what I wanted to know. I have been looking at videos on line and they all seem to show the big climbs on rocks or stair cases which I know that the stock commander will not do with out damage. I do have the factory skid plates. I also still have the temp tag on it so I want to be as careful as I can if, I can make it.

What time do you think we would get done on Sunday? I have to drive back down to Sierra Vista and be ready for PT Monday morning.

If we meet and greet at 9:00am, I am figuring we start out our day on the trail at 9:30am. Giving 2.5 hrs for each trail ride and and 1.5 hrs for lunch, I would say we would be heading home around 4:30pm. I hope you can join us.

I'm in. I ordered all three skid plates yesterday evening. Hope I have them in before next weekend so I can put them on. Maybe even install my 2" Rough Country lift I have waiting in my garage for a couple of months now......

Sounds good to me. I'm traveling from East Mesa so it makes sense to meet somewhere up North Phoenix?
