I recently installed the following:
1. T-Rex aluminum billet grille
2. Spidertrax 1.5" wheel spacers
3. Mopar Stainless Steel "Commander" door sills (very cool looking)
4. Mopar Jeep fork mounted bike rail (already had two mounted)
5. Pro-Clip iPac and iPhone custom dash mounts

Very nice pictures. Good look.
How do you get your bikes up top? I am right at 6' and I struggle....dropped on my head once. DO you have a step or something? I like the roof top racks, but cant get the bikes up without hurting someone...

I can just barely get my two bikes on the outer rails. If the Commander was 1" higher, I wouldn't be able to. Perhaps your Commander sits higher than mine...lifted?...4 X 4? To get a third bike on the middle rail, I will step up on the door sill and have someone hand the bike to me or I could simply set the bike in the outer rail, step on the door sill and transfer the bike to the middle rail. I needed the third rail because I have some races this year where I will have two other people with bikes riding with me. I don't like the idea of having to travel around with a step stool. I have a friend with an XTerra who does that (he is about 5' 5") and he gets ridiculed...a lot. I'm 5' 8" by the way so I don't have any plans to lift my Commander due to my "diminuitive" size!

It is a 4x4, but no lift. I thought about a step, but thought I would be ridiculed as well...I am thinking about nerf bars or rock rails...I could stand on those.

I do imagine your bikes are lighter than mine. I have a stock Giant Cypress which is a hybrid. Better than my old Schwinn 10speed.

Light and expensive; some people have children...I have bikes! They never talk back and never require bailing out.
2004 Turner Burner Cross Country Racing Bike: 23.9 pounds...$4,500
2007 Griffen Vulcan Triathlon Racing Bike w/ Zipp Carbon race wheels: 16.8 pounds...$6,500.

Yes. I was really pleased with the new look with the spacers. I just wanted the Commander to have a sportier look. I was amazed wit the difference with just a 1.5" spacing. To me, it makes the wheels and tires appear a little larger and more noticable.

Pictures were taken in front of my condo complex in San Diego. I had just had it waxed so I thought it was a good time for a few photos.

do you notice any handling differences with the spacers only? Less roll?

Exhaust & Spacers

Exhaust is the stock pipes with a Magnaflow muffler and chrome tip.

The 1.5" Spidertrax spacers do make the ride more stable and has minimized the freeway float that Commanders are known for.
