I just purchased a Jeep Commander 2007, the door sticker and sale people said that 2007 year model but when I got home look around and find out side door label printed: Date of Mfr: 08/06. Wow, how do I find out for sure my Jeep is 06 or 07 Model? thank you very much for any input.

It is a 2007. The 07s started production in July of 2006. Mine is one of the last 06s --it was made in June of 2006. Forum member rubicontrail.net can verify this. He got one of the first 07s that was manufactured in July of 2006.
Thank you Jeep5253

I know I have a late 06 model, where did you locate the born on date?

Guess I lucked out with an 06/06 being an 06 with the price of a year old car but only a couple months older. Of course selling price is effected too but not so much as I plan on having it for 20 years or more. I love this Jeep.

Interestingly enough, that sticker must be dated the day it leaves the factory. Mine is dated 08/06 even though it entered production in July. It was then held in Jeep storage to solve an issue with the software for the remote rear liftgate that they wanted to fix before it shipped.
