Hi all,

We're looking to move out of our Subaru Outback into an SUV with good towing ability for the future purchase of a travel trailer. Considering an 06 Commander Limitedwith 5.7l and the quadra drive, 128k miles, $6000. It has had the recalls completed, and looks to be in fine condition. It's 50mi away, so I was hoping to get a bit of info about any big "reg flags" i should be looking out for that are Commander specific.

Thank you for your time.

Just get the Vin number, pay for a vin scan that will tell you if the recalls were done, if it was in an accident, if the title is good etc.

When you get there, check the oil and coolant caps. They shouldn't be mixed. Rev the engine full throttle. The Hemi loves this. If it stumbles or buckles, stay away.

Pull the 4wd switch. If it says Service 4wd system and the recalls were done. Stay away. Other than that, these commanders are liked for a reason. They are pretty damn sturdy, overbuilt vehicles. otherwise. Almost everything on it is a cheap fix and is shared with dodge trucks. 128k miles is a gem, if the leather seats are ripped on the driver side, that isn't uncommon.
