my 08 rocky mtn 4.7 qt2 had a uca ball joint failure which resulted in my wheel lying flat on ground. After replacing all damaged parts I don't know how to tell if it is a limited slip cv joint.IAlso when failure happened the long shaft was pulled out of differential. Is there a method to reattach shaft or does it just push in

I don't believe that the drive shaft just pushes back in place - but honestly, I'm not 100% sure.
I think you may have some other issues going on and you should probably consult a certified mechanic - rather then risking further damage to your XK.
I'd also suggest you read the New Member required reading very carefully and follow the forum rules going forward.

CV axle pushes back into the differential and has pressure rings at the end.
