After getting my XK back from the body shop I have decided to trade it in on a new one. really like the black on black limited Hemi. I have sent a email to about 12 different dealerships in my area to bid on the vehicle I want. I'm hoping this works out to deter the headache of all the BS you have to go through buying a vehicle. Has anyone done this before?

My dad did this when he purchased my mom's honda. It worked out well. He did all the negotiations online and ended up getting a great deal. The dealership had the paperwork ready and the car prepped the first time he walked in the door.

That is how I found mine, sent e-mails to four local dealers and they provided me quotes, I took all the quotes to the local dealer and told him to beat them all and I would buy from him. Got over $12,000 of sticker.
