I have a 2007 Commander. When I get in (or out), the interior lights stay on and the message on the control panel tells me that the drivers door is open (It is closed). I've also had it keep the radio on at times after the door is open and the key is removed. I'm guessing there is a switch that is not working (and I'm guessing it is integrated with the latch). Can someone confirm this?

Also is it possible that the switch is just sticking and there is a way to unstick it? Or does it likely need to be replaced? Thanks

Alan

Pretty sure it is the switch/sensor that tells if the door is open or not. For a few days about a couple of years ago mine kept telling me that the liftgate was open when it wasn't. It straightened itself out though and hasn't happened since.
