I'm sure others with JC's have noticed the exposed lower radiator and tranny cooler just below the front bumper. Has anyone found any aftermarket solutions to protect this area from rocks and debris damage? If anyone has fabricated some type of protection for this area how did you go about doing it?

There is a bull bar on Ebay that has a skid plate that would protect this area. I don't personally like it, and even if I did I couldn't use it as it covers the front plate. Maybe it is an option for you.

I thought it was a tranny cooler, but according to another thread it is a power steering cooler. I would be careful restricting the air flow as you can defeat the purpose of the coolers.

I find with the chrome bumper mold it doesn't look that bad. When it doesn't have the chrome mold, it really jumps out. Just my opinion...
